We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Childcare Teacher to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our early childhood classrooms.
Position Summary
The Assistant Childcare Teacher works closely with the Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate activities, supervise children, and create a warm and engaging classroom atmosphere. This role is essential to ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities
Assist with the supervision, safety, and engagement of children in all settings (indoor, outdoor, meals, naps)
Foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space
Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and children
Observe and report child development milestones or concerns to the Lead Teacher
Participate in team meetings and ongoing staff development
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience working with young children (preferred)
Must meet Wisconsin state licensing requirements for Assistant Teachers (or be willing to obtain entry-level training)
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Patience, creativity, dependability, and a strong team spirit
